What a neat old building! I love visiting downtown Ithaca and finding this fancy location with a variety of great local shops and restaurants. From Moosewood to vintage clothes, to antiques, to old books, you can find it here. Absolutely worth a visit if you're in town and in the area.

Funky converted school building with shops on the ground floor, apartments above, and ghosts of students past in the basement. The mall is anchored by Ithaca Guitarworks and Moosewood Restaurant at the South entrance, and a locally renowned food co-op at the north entrance. In between are half a dozen local shops. No chains here. Worth a stroll.

Only explored a little part, but the homemade ice cream is absolutely incredible. Best chocolate ice cream I've ever had.

I love this wee mall. It is on a historic building in Ithaca- a old school. The stores ate unique. Some are expensive and have high end merchandise while others have great prices on unique items. And the mall restaurant is well worth your time. And I must mention Moosewood vegetarian restaurant which is a legend on itself. GREAT food with vegan selections. And one of the best Bloody Mary I have ever had. Go here. You will not be sorry.

In my view, the Dewitt mall is the beating heart of Ithaca when it comes to the holiday seasons. The crew was out front putting up Holiday lights around the front entrance when I visited there earlier today. The building superintendent Jack waved a friendly hello as I walked by. Inside, the Ithaca guitar shop had music, smells from Moosewood and the sound of children laughing at the Cats Pajamas Toy Store (go and spend some time and money there-even if you don’t have kids or a reason to), Buffalo Street Books, GreenStar ~ just a few of the many places within. All made me think that the Dewitt is haven of what used to be normal, that still is. Go visit once and you will likely enjoy the experience again

Interesting little mall inside an old school. Has lots of charm. The cat's Pajamas is a great little store and a must see. Lots of cute toys and gifts for all ages.

This was such a cool place to discover. We found so many cool stores and a restaurant that we didn't stop at, but it smelled delicious!

This was a walk down memory lane, as my friends and I had attended DeWitt Jr. High, back in the early 1970s!

Neat little city-vibe joint in hippie town. Lots of shops, checked out the ukulele stock at guitar works while a breakfast sandwich was made and got a key to use the restroom to take a whizzz. Life don't get any better!
